Do I need to wear anything else with my period-proof swimwear?

Our swimwear is designed to provide built-in protection while swimming. Depending on your flow and comfort level, you may choose to wear it on its own or pair it with additional menstrual protection.

Is period-proof swimwear suitable for first periods?

Absolutely. Many parents choose period-proof swimwear as a simple and confidence-building option for girls experiencing their first period. You can even buy it before she has her first period to get use to it and it is a natural progression (just like getting a new swimsuit)

Will it feel bulky?

No. Our period-proof swimwear looks and feels like regular swimwear. We often get asked. (are you sure that this is period proof swiwmear - did you send us the correct swimsuit as they can't beleive that the crotch area is not bulky) this is what sets our 'Slix Period Proof apart.

Will people know I'm wearing period swimwear?

No. The protection is built discreetly into the gusset and is invisible from the outside. Slix was made by women and women who use to be national level swimmers we understand how important it is to feel confident at that time of the month so this was imperative design feature when we made this swimwear.

Can I wear it for swimming lessons?

Yes. Our swimwear is designed specifically for swimming lessons, training and recreational swimming.

Does it replace all period products?

Our period-proof swimwear is designed to provide protection while swimming. Depending on your flow, some customers may choose to wear it on its own, while others may prefer to pair it with additional menstrual protection for extra confidence. Please read the instruction sheet when you receive your new Period Proof swimwear with your order.

How many period-proof swimsuits should I own?

We recommend having 2–3 swimsuits if you swim regularly. This allows you to wear one while another is being washed and dried.

For occasional swimming, one swimsuit may be sufficient.

Can I wear my period-proof swimwear throughout my entire period?

Yes, you can wear your period-proof swimwear throughout your cycle whenever you're swimming.

The level of protection you need may vary depending on your flow. Some customers wear their swimsuit on its own, while others choose to pair it with additional menstrual protection for extra confidence on heavier days.

Can I wear it all day?

Our period-proof swimwear is designed for swimming and water activities.

For all-day wear outside the water, we recommend changing into fresh clothing after swimming for maximum comfort and hygiene.

How often should I wash my swimsuit?

We recommend rinsing your swimsuit after each use and hand washing it according to the care instructions to help maintain performance and longevity.
